SNOW on Sunday.

Last night we were invited to an art exhibition by Inna (my hairdressing and clothers saviour). It was a local exhibition with some famous and not so famous artisits. We arrived and walked through the gallery and Inna met us with a glass of Champers (Sweety darling sweety). The curator? (not sure if that is the right word for the exhibition organiser, took us around and spoke in Russian whilst Sasha transalated (bless all 6 foot something of him).

Michal, Pierre-Andre', Sasha and Inna

They had a couple of bands which added to the night, but again in Russian, so it didnt have the effect for us that it may have had on the locals. Still not sure what Inna's role in all this is. She just seems to appear when people need stuff. She is a sweet thing though and I cant thank her enough for organising the visit to the hairdresser for me. I'm sure I would have come home as a bottle blonde had she not helped me!

I was hungry again!!! (I am hungry all the time) & so in the taxi on the way home, Michal & I decided to go to the local Pizza place, have a beer and Pizza before walking home.

Went back and devoured a couple more episodes of AB Fab..... sweetie darling sweetie, and fell into bed.

Sunday morning was cold! A couple of degrees colder, feels like a lot to me, but soldier on I do. Went out for a stroll after chatting to Mum and Dad (at a reasonable hour this time). Found a shop that had a really nice leather jacket that I think I have to buy!!!!!!   MY GOD I AM STARTING TO LIKE SHOPPING!

This jacket is about 1800 Ukraine Hryvnia (UAH) or AUD $244........... Naomi what have you turned me into??????

Happy birthday for yeasterday N
After resisting inital temptations to buy the jacket, I walked out of the shop and returned home with only milk, bread, beer and fruit! (Still no Poastcard!!) Back next week to buy the jacket I think!

After chatting to Patto on the phone and hearing about the lovely BBQ he had had a Kim's place in the warm weather, I looked out the window & saw ash falling from the sky! On further investigation, it was not ash, but SNOW!!!  No wonder it has been cold. I would call it a flurry, not a full blow snow drop, but still it was nice. More to come I'm sure.

Better have one of these to get my blood moving!

Anyway... a few more pics of my street and apartment for you to peruse and enjoy. I expect the next ones I send to you will be white with snow!!

My apartment block is the brown one behind the green traffic light. Supermarket (local milk bar) at the bottom)

Kids playground at the bottom on my block

My balcony overlooking the courtyard
It was actually snowing when I took this shot from my balcony, but flurries are light and you cant see it

Love to you all

  1. As promised I will make those postcards for you...I'm pretty sure they will be prettier than those you can't get on the streets :). What is more, they will be unique and personalized!

But first, I need to make my hard drive working...
